Empowering Women in Leadership

How to Create a High Performing Team

Would it change your business if you had a high performing team all headed in the same direction, on the same bus working for the common cause effectively and efficiently?

Did you know frequently the majority of businesses owners say one of the biggest challenges in running a business second to being profitable, is managing staff?

You know, dealing with the people issues. Those challenges that often are the ones that take over your day, keep you back at work late and or wake you up at night.

Whether it's the lack of initiative and people NOT being able to think for themselves...

Or perhaps the opposite. They're so focused on how they want to do things, they keep wanting to make changes and do things their way, instead of following existing processes and procedures.

Or maybe it's because the current procedures are out of date, take too long, don't exist yet and are hampering people's performance and productivity.

Or could it be that you haven't got productive people on your team yet, because who you hired in the first place, is not aligned with the direction you're headed yet...?

Or are you terrified of hiring, because you want to avoid the 'team issues', prefer to keep it small or think it's easier to stay with who is already on the team rather than hire and fire...? (Better the devil you know, that the one you don't)

Remember the show back in the day called Perfect Match. Well it's important when you're hiring too, otherwise, you may need to be firing.

Or it could be, like for many women in leadership - your own mindset and ego is holding the business back, keeping the brakes on and causing the problems? The imposter syndrome  "Am I good enough?" and "Can I do this?" questions can lead to leadership chaos, confusion and stagnation.

Or are you doing it all? Burning the midnight candle and everything else in life is suffering, out of kilter and it's not ideal for the long term. You probably love doing your thing (your craft and you're good at it) yet certain aspects of being in business, like the people stuff, leadership.... it's a little tougher than you expected.

It's impacting your health, your family, your friends haven't heard from you in ages and chances are: FUN... well that's definitely been on the back-burner for a good long while, or it's as occasional and intermittent as those date nights have been lately.

Imagine having a high performing team around you, that's kicking goals, all getting on like a house on fire, systems are streamlined and working like a treat! The business is thriving, happy customers, it's profitable, you're all making a big difference and you have a life as well....

Yeh, right.... "impossible" you might say?

Actually, it's very possible and starts with these key areas.

When you are being the best version of yourself as leader, the ripple effect will spread.

The 3 most important things for me to implement from today's workshop are 1) Take Risks 2) Ask for Help and 3) Remember there is no Perfect. We had some real life learning about better understanding human behaviour and safe ways to change.

Thanks for this fantastic opportunity for women who value personal and professional development. We often get stuck in the daily grind and changing the "hats" we wear and forget to self-care - both mentally and physcially.
