Sharing the Big Wins

One of my fave things ever about being a coach, is cheering on the sidelines and watching the big wins. Seeing clients overcome challenges, dig deep, make progress, 3 steps forward and 5 steps back some days, then reap the rewards as the hard work, dedication and persistence pays off. It takes time. It’s not an overnight thing. We work together over a period of time.

There is progress, the highs and lows along the way that lead to the wins. Mostly whilst the wins are amazing, the joy is actually in the journey itself.

Transformation comes at a cost, rarely seen it not. Often emotional for all stakeholders, participants or people involved. There may be tears, maybe immense frustration, resentment, difficult conversations, more tears, hours of time and energy invested into people, or process, culture transformation and so much more…

You may not be the tear type. I have some clients who are and some who aren’t. Maybe it’s the late night thoughts swirling in your mind, the bottles of beers consumed as a way to decompress, maybe it’s the closed door and fragile feeling if not wanting to deal with another thing cause the plate is full.

We all react in different ways. We all process stress, overwhelm and heavy workloads in many ways. Having a coach in your corner can help you debrief, decode and unpack, what’s working well, what might be helpful to improve and ways to stay accountable.
